There has been some big rumours that Redmi Note 8 Pro will later launch with a more powerful processor to challenge some of the other smartphones in the same range. Even the upcoming Realme X2 with Snapdragon 730G is being dubbed as the Note 8 Pro killer.

So, is Xiaomi bringing a new Redmi Note 8 Pro running on Snapdragon 730?

Sadly no. It would have an awesome combination, but do note, the device already runs on a dedicated gaming chipset. The MediaTek Helio G90T processor does a good job given the top-end games or extensive multitasking.

It doesn’t make sense to upgrade the device with another gaming chip with almost similar functionalities and power.

No Redmi Note 8 Pro 730G exists, neither any Redmi Note 8 Pro running on Snapdragon 730 is coming.

The company has officially confirmed that all the rumours about Redmi Note 8 Pro 730G are fake, and no Note 8 Pro with Snapdragon 730 exists.

Redmi Note 8 Pro Specs: Display, Design, Hardware, Battery

Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with a 6.53-inch Full HD+ screen offering an immersive 91.94 per cent screen-to-body ratio. On the out, the smartphone comes with a glass sandwich body sporting a 3D curved curved glass protected by Gorilla Glass 5.

It comes with a dot drop notch up front that equipped with a 13MP selfie sensor.

Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with a quad camera system featuring a primary 64MP Samsung GW1 sensor with f/1.7 aperture along with three additional sensors: 2MP depth sensor, 8MP Ultra Wide lens and 2cm Macro lens.

Redmi Note 8 Pro runs on MediaTek Helio G90T processor with upto 8GB RAM. Redmi Note 8 Pro packs a larger 4,500mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging support with USB Type C port.

Note 8 Pro also runs on Android 9 Pie based on MIUI 10 out of the box with a dedicated 3.5mm headphone jack, IP52 and NFC support. The device will receive the latest MIUI 11 update in December.

The base model of Redmi Note 8 Pro in India with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage is available at Rs 14,999. The 6GB RAM with 128GB storage mid-end Redmi Note 8 Pro model is priced aggressively at Rs 15,999. 

Lastly, the Note 8 Pro top-end model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs 17,999.

Both the Redmi Note 8 smartphones are available via Amazon India and Mi.com. Limited units are also available via selected Mi Home Stores. The company also recently launched a special 3GB Redmi Note 8 model for offline market.
