BSNL’s New Salvo: Broadband + Cable + Telephony

BSNL has collaborated with Sri Devi Digital, which claims to be Andhra Pradesh’s biggest cable TV network.

The premise is simple:

BSNL has introduced new, and combo specific plans, which are 10 in number.

Once the user selected any one of these plans, they can opt for a subsidised and cheap cable TV plan from Sri Devi Digital. There are 7 such plans.

Which Are The BSNL Combo Plans?

As of now, as per TelecomTalk, there are 10 special plans under Triple Play from BSNL, which are:

Fibro Combo ULD 645 CS95, Fibro Combo ULD CS 96, Fibro Combo ULD 2795 CS20, Rs 849, Rs 1,277, Rs 2,499, Rs 4,499, Rs 5,999, Rs 9,999 and Rs 16,999 are the ten Triple Play plans.

Which Are Cable TV Plans?

There are 7 cable TV plans from Sri Devi Digital, which are:

SDS Pack 2 (Rs 243), SDS Pack 2 Plus (Rs 333), SDS HD Pack (Rs 333), SDS HD Pack Plus (Rs 333), SDS Pack 4 (Rs 351), SDS Pack 5 (Rs 315) and SDS Pack 6 (Rs 360).

How Does It Work?

Say, the BSNL user selected a pack for Rs 1277, for broadband service.

Now, he is eligible to select a cable TV plan from Sri Devi Digital. Assuming that he selected the Rs 333 plan, then the total monthly expenditure will be Rs 1277 + 333 = Rs 1610, plus 18% GST.

Landline telephony will be free in this, provided by BSNL.

Sri Devi Digital will be responsible for providing the device, and installation of the service for new and existing customers.

The exact details of these broadband plans (Speed, total data etc) and cable TV plans (number of channels) are not out yet.

We will keep you updated, as more details come in.
