The festive season has everyone in a generous mood, and the latest one to join the wagon is Dish TV. The telecom provider has announced that it will be offering its customers more than 250 channels at only Rs. 219 per month! 

Ever since TRAI had introduced new rules for the pricing and tariff regimes of channels, the situation has become quite complex, so much that 2 crore Indians have quit DTH services. The high cable TV bills have steered many of us in the direction of Netflix, Hotstar and other OTT channels.

Dish TV Tries To Lure Customers By Offering Channel Packs At Older Rates

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India recently introduced new tariff regimes for channels, wherein all the channels were priced individually. This resulted in a lot of people complaining about the bill of their TV channels being very high. 

Now that the festive season is here, Dish TV has come up with a new idea that is enticing to the customers as well as offers a solution to the high tariff regime. Dish TV is offering its customers a few selected channel packs at the prices that were available on the channel packs even before the new regime was put in place. 

However, these attractive offers come with a catch. In return for these diminished prices, Dish TV is asking its customers to be bound to the telecom company for two years. In simple terms, if you want to go for this offer by Dish TV, you will have to buy the subscription for two whole years, and nothing less. 

Even if the monthly fees are paid less, Dish TV will still have you as a customer for two whole years. This is indeed a shrewd offer by Dish TV to retain the drastically dwindling number of its customers. Dish TV, unsatisfied by its second position, now seems to be fighting against Tata Sky to be first DTH provider in India.
