TRAI To Implement Discount Caps On Channel Pricing

There is news that TRAI is looking to put a cap on channel pricing, which will not allow the broadcasters to price the a-la-carte channels at more than 15% of the price in the bouquet. In simple terms, this means that if a channel is priced at Rs. 6 in the bouquet, then the a-la-carte price will not exceed Rs. 6.90.
