Car sales in India have not seen a very good picture since some time now, especially escalating the retardation in 2019. Moving on to the second half of 2019, we expect to see a positive growth in sales owing to new and some highly awaited car launches. June month saw some pretty big releases, like the Kia Seltos and Renault Triber and the highly awaited and anticipated car, MG Hector was launched last month too.

Hyundai Kona Electric

This car is the world’s first compact electric SUV and is all set to launch in India on July 9. It Kona Electric vehicle will be the 1st locally assembled electric SUV for the Indian market. It takes about 30 minutes to charge fully and can then go up to 350 km on a single charge. Globally, Kona is being offered in two variables: one with a 100kW motor and the other with a 150 kW motor. The Hyundai Kona electric vehicle is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 25 lakhs to Rs 30 lakhs.

Renault Triber

It is a sub-four metre MPV with detachable third-row seats and is based on the platform, CMF. Launching in July, its platform also underpins the Kwid hatchback. The French carmaker has introduces fresh interior and added features along with a new design language in its Triber model.

BMW X7

This in an SUV to the 7 Series and is set to launch on 25th July. With its typical BMW mould, X7 will be offered in the m50d state of tune for the Indian markets. There’s an eight-speed auto and xDrive AWD system mated to this engine. The kidney-grille up front and the twin-barrel LED headlamps and the signature corona rings around them market them for BMW.

Audi A8

A8 displays Audi’s new design language. It comes with a bold and sporty design with an upright front and high shoulder line. Almost exquisite outside, the car has wonders inside as well. It gets a new and improved infotainment system. There are almost no knobs or buttons for controls and almost everything is accessed by the two screens positioned on the centre console. It also has a relaxation seat with adjustable lumbar support, headrest and the footrest.

Audi Q8

Audi’s Q8, launching in July will have a new mild hybrid technology, along with a 48V primary electrical system. This is Audi’s topmost range model for SUVs. The platform it is built on is similar to that of the Audi Q7, the Lamborghini Urus and the Bentley Bentayga. The Q8 50 TDI variant shall deliver 286 bhp and a torque of 600 Nm, to all four of its wheels.

Porsche Macan

Porsche Macan facelift has been updated and inspired by the new-generation Cayenne. Its front section has been widened and redesigned with LED headlights. The rear section is made comparatively slender, along with a three-dimensional LED tail light strip. In all, it looks royal. It comes in 4 colours: Miami Blue, Mamba Green Metallic, Dolomite Silver Metallic and Crayon. It also comes with new 20 and 21-inch wheels with an array of customisation option.
