Redmi K20 India Launch

Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro will be officially launched in India on July 15, as announced by Manu Kumar Jain, global Vice President of Xiaomi and director of Xiaomi India. The Redmi K20 Pro comes with a Snapdragon 855 chipset and Redmi K20 with a SD 730 processor. The phones are quite similar with a few differences. The battery is the same for both the phones, 4000 mAh.  The phones are set to be launched on July 15.

Global Smartphone Shipments To Decline

As per an analysis by Canalys, smartphone sales will decrease by 3.1% as compared to that of 2018. The reports say that the sale will be of 1.35 billion units, which is less than last years 1.39 billion units. For preparing the report, the decision of the US to stop offering Google’s services to Huawei has been taken into account. But Canalys has predicted a growth in the smartphone sale in 2020 by 3.4%.

Oppo and Xiaomi In-Display Selfie Camera

Xiaomi and Oppo have both come up with a new invention, the in-display selfie camera. This will mean that future phones from these companies will be absolutely notchless and have a full-screen display. The working of the in-display selfie camera is quite innovative and it is not like the punch-hole display smartphones.

Xiaomi Mi 9T To Go Official

Xiaomi had launched the Mi 9 smartphone in February and its successor, Mi 9T is set to be launched on June 12. However, this is not a new phone, but the Redmi K20 only rebadged. There will also be a Mi 9T Pro, which is the rebadged version of K20 Pro. The Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro are set to be launched in India as well, but with their original names. The phones will also be launched as Poco F2 and Poco F2 Pro in some markets.

Vivo Y12 Launched in India

Vivo has launched a phone in India today, the Vivo Y12, but there was no event to mark the launch. However, the phone’s specifications and prices have been revealed. There will be two variants to the phone, 3 GB RAM + 64 GB, priced at Rs. 11,999 and 4 GB RAM + 32 GB, which will be priced at Rs. 12,990. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 and comes with Android 9.0 Pie update. The battery is a massive 5000 mAh.

OnePlus 7 Available in India

The OnePlus 7 is now available in India on various platforms such as Amazon India, OnePlus stores, kiosks, and retail partners as well. There are two variants of the phone, 6 GB RAM + 128 GB ROM, which is priced at Rs. 32,999 and 8 GB + 256 GB ROM, which is available for Rs. 37,999. OnePlus 7 is now the most affordable smartphone with the SD 855 chipset. The battery is 3700 mAh with 20 W fast charging support.
