4 New Xiaomi Smartphones Coming To India: Redmi 7, Redmi 7A, Redmi Pro 2, Redmi Y3

After ramping it up with the all new Redmi Note 7 series and Redmi Go smartphone in India, Xiaomi is now planning to bring in four smartphones to the country.

This includes the recently launched Redmi 7, leaked Redmi Y3 and Redmi 7A.

Interestingly, the list includes another device, the previously tipped Redmi Pro 2. The smartphone was supposed to be Redmi’s first device after being separated from Xiaomi.

Out of these four, the first three is expected to hit the market in a month.

Redmi 7, Redmi 7A & Redmi Y3: India Launch

Xiaomi will launch Redmi 7, Redmi 7A and the Redmi Y3 in the country, as tipped by serial tipster Ishan Agarwal. According to the leak, Xiaomi will first launch Redmi 7 in India followed by Redmi Y3. Redmi 7A is expected around the same, or with Redmi 7.

Redmi 7 has already been launched in China last month.

The company is said to be working on another budget smartphone with model code C3F, expected as Redmi 7A. The smartphone will replace the current sixth generation 6A model from the Redmi lineup.

The third generation Redmi Y3 has already been a leaked couple of times. The last Redmi Y model was a S-series spin off. So, the upcoming selfie-centric Y series smartphone will also focus on front cameras running on standard features.

Redmi 7A is yet to launch in China. Though, the smartphone was spotted on 3C certification. Redmi Y3 has been spotted on Wi-Fi Alliance running on the latest MIUI 10 based Android 9 Pie.

Redmi 7: Specs & Features

Redmi 7 is already available in Xiaomi’s home market running on an octa-core Snapdragon 632 SoC chip. The smartphone will come to India in two variants with 3GB of RAM with 32GB storage and up to 4GB of RAM with 64GB storage.

Redmi 7 features a new gradient finish style at the back with a fingerprint sensor.

The device runs on the latest MIUI 10 based Android 9 Pie.

Redmi 7 packs in the signature 4,000mAh battery from Redmi lineup supporting Type-C 18W fast charging. Though, in India the smartphone will ship with the standard 10W charger.

The phone features a 6.26-inch LCD HD+ display offering a screen resolution of 1520×720 pixels with a dot notch on top in an aspect ratio of 19:9.

Redmi 7 packs in a rear dual camera system featuring a 12MP primary sensor and a 8MP secondary sensor. Up front, the smartphone has 8MP shooter backed by AI features and modes.

Redmi 7 starts at 699 yuan for the 16GB model (around Rs 7,000).

REDMI PRO 2: Snapdragon 855, Pop-Up Selfie Camera, Triple Cameras & More!

A new Weibo leak suggests that Redmi is working on it’s very first true flagship smartphone. The device tipped to be Redmi Pro 2, will run on the current Qualcomm flagship chip, the Snapdragon 855 SoC.

Not only SD 855, Redmi Pro 2 will pack in certain other flagship specs as well including a pop-up selfie camera and a triple rear camera setup.

Redmi Pro 2 will feature a panoramic full screen display without any notch or holes.

Redmi Pro 2 will feature the Sony IMX 586 48MP sensor with an ultrawide lens and a telephoto lens. The smartphone will also feature an in-display fingerprint scanner. It will come with other variants with multiple storage options.
