Three major smartphone launches happened in the last 24 hours, and the market is abuzz with the fierce competition this will induce in coming days: Vivo V15 Pro is the mid-range smartphone, Xiaomi Mi9 is the new flagship and Samsung galaxy S10e is competing against iPhone XR.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk has revealed that 100% fully automatic cars will be coming soon.

Vivo V15 Pro Launch

Vivo launched its newest flagship: Vivo V15 Pro. We did a hands-on review of this swanky smartphone, and discovered that its 32 MP pop-up selfie camera, along with tri-camera rear setup is the main USP. Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is endorsing Vivo and V15 Pro. The lone version available in India costs Rs 28,990. Checkout our first-impressions right here.

Xiaomi  Mi9 Launch

Xiaomi has launched its keenly awaited Xiaomi Mi9 smartphone in China. Starting at Rs 31,750 for the base variant, Xiaomi Mi9 is powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset and will support 5G connectivity. This new offering from Xiaomi will have three cameras in the backside, which includes a 13-MP wide angle sensor, and a 16 MP depth sensor.

Xiaoai Mini TV Smart Speaker

Along with Mi9, Xiaomi has also launched their Mini TV smart speaker, with voice control feature. This gadget features a 4-inch small display, which will connect and support other Xiaomi products such as Air purifier, doorbell, Smart TV and more. Mimicking Amazon Echo Dot or Echo Spot, this new speaker from Xiaomi will support voice control.

Samsung Galaxy S10e Launch

Featuring cutting edge specs like Infinity-O display, dual-rear cameras and more, Samsung launched Galaxy S10e smartphone, which will have the same processor which supports the other two S10 variants: S10 and S10+. This is the smallest smartphone (5.8inch)  in the Galaxy lineup, and experts view this as a competition to iPhone XR. For International markets such as India and China, this smartphone will have Exynos 9820 processor, but for some selected countries including South Korea, Galaxy S10e will feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor.

Vodafone 5G Deployment

For the first time ever, Vodafone deployed 5G in its network, and conducted trials. 5G was used for making a call between Spain’s Madrid and Barcelona, as an ultra-high-resolution 4K video call made. Vodafone has claimed that the speed of this call was 10-times faster than a regular 4G call. More details are awaited.

100% Self-Driven Cars Coming Soon: Elon Musk

During a podcast, Tesla founder Elon Musk has claimed that a fully-automatic car is coming by end of 2020. This 100% automatic, self-driven car will be so much technologically advanced, that passengers can even sleep in their cars. As per Musk, existing Tesla car owners can simply perform a software upgrade in near future, to make their cars 100% automatic.

80% Women Own Mobiles Now

As per a recent GSMA Study, it was found that 80% of women in lower and middle-income countries across the world are now mobile owners. Out of that, more than half, or 48% of the women use their mobile phone to come online. But still, the difference between the penetration of men and women in mobile usage is very high, as high as 50% in some countries. $140 billion additional revenue can be generated, if this gap is closed.
