OnePlus 7 / OnePlus 5G Smartphone Leaked: First Look Out!
Leaks suggest it can be OnePlus 7 or the next OnePlus 5G smartphone. What is the truth?
The much-rumored OnePlus 5G or the next OnePlus smartphone has been leaked. The photo was taken at a OnePlus meeting where CEO Pete Lau is seen holding a device with a circular back-camera.
It’s a fresh new design, and it seems like an all-new series.
This could be the OnePlus 5G smartphone everybody has been talking about. The company confirmed that it will the launch first Snapdragon 855 smartphone with 5G connectivity in Europe.
As far as the design is concerned, it’s a major upgrade. The photo is legit, and it’s all OnePlus employees who are in the meeting.

OnePlus 5G Smartphone
On the TV screen, there’s the upcoming OnePlus model with a circular camera module like some of the Motorola phones.
You can’t exactly figure out how many sensors are there, but they can be as high as four. If not four, you can expect to see a triple rear camera setup on the upcoming OnePlus smartphone.
Till now we saw two phones a year from OnePlus. But from 2019, there may be three phones OnePlus may launch. Its regular series will run the way it did, a standard and T variant with a new addition in the first quarter.
Coming to the upcoming OnePlus 5G device, the front side of the smartphone looks quite similar, but at the back, it has a new circular camera module, never seen on any OnePlus phones.
Not OnePlus 7?
It may be the OnePlus 7 as well, but the chances are relatively low.
The much-touted OnePlus 5G smartphone is said to be launching at the MWC 2019. It will be costlier and will come with some of the top features at par with top-end flagships like iPhone XS or Google Pixel 3.
The OnePlus 7 smartphone will not launch till May / June next year. And the company has already confirmed that it will launch a device early in 2019. Also, there’s a OnePlus television in the pipeline as well.
Snapdragon 855 & 5G Support
So, this may not be the OnePlus 7. The fresh design hints at a new series, probably the 5G smartphone from OnePlus. This is going to be pricier.
The company at the Qualcomm Summit said it will bring the first smartphone with the latest Snapdragon 855 platform.
Also, the tipster made a note that the current design of the OnePlus phone leaked is still a prototype. So this may or may not be the final design of the OnePlus 5G smartphone that actually comes to market.
OnePlus 5G Smartphone Price & Launch
Coming to the price, the new OnePlus 7 will definitely cost more. And the OnePlus 5G smartphone may even touch as high as Rs 60,000 due to 5G connectivity. The OnePlus 7 is expected around May, while the OnePlus 5G smartphone will be released around the first quarter of 2019, probably at this year’s MWC at Barcelona.
Finally, OnePlus is known to intentionally leak things to create hype in the market. This may be an actual leak or something OnePlus wanted to share with its fans about the latest upcoming design intentionally.
