The company is launching an all-new series with Realme U1. The U series will focus on selfie smartphones in India without compromising on speed and performance. Realme U1 is the first smartphone in the U series.

World’s First Smartphone To Come With Helio P70

Realme U1 will come with the newly launched 12nm MediaTek Helio P70 chipset. It will see a 13 percent boost in performance backed by an enhanced AI engine with up to 30 percent improvement in AI processing compared to its predecessor.

Better Performance Than Redmi Note 6 Pro & Honor 8X

Realme U1 with the Helio P70 achieved an overall AnTuTu score of 145,021 beating newly launched smartphones: Honor 8X (139,974) and Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro (115,611). Honor 8X runs on HiSilicon Kirin 710 while the Note 6 Pro on the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 636.

Realme 2 Design & Build

Realme U1 will look a lot similar to the Realme 2 Pro. The smartphone will come with a water-drop notched display and very slim bezels on the sides. At the bottom, there is going to be a narrow bezel with a fingerprint sensor at the back.

Rear Dual Camera System

The leaked pictures of Realme U1 show us a rear dual camera system. As per the rumors, the smartphone will have 16-megapixel primary sensor coupled with a 2-megapixel secondary depth sensor.

Low Light Wide Angle Selfie Camera

The Realme U-series smartphones will focus on selfie cameras. The Realme U1 similarly is touted to come with impressive low light performance. The camera is expected to be a 25-megapixel shooter from the Oppo lineup offering wide angle shots.

Better Camera Performance

The new Helio P70 processor on the Realme U1 will boost up the camera performance with smoother 24fps visual bokeh. With better processing, you can now capture RAW-domain multi-frame HDR format pictures including real-time HDR capture support to improve overall photography performance.

Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS)

The MediaTek Helio P70 has an all new hardware warping engine. The smartphone will come with Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) to offer real-time stability with intelligent scene detection feature for color correction and lighting adjustment.

Improved Graphical Performance

The smartphone will offer an enhanced graphical performance over Helio P60 smartphones. The new P70 chipset will offer a better color accuracy with the new ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. The GPU can clock at up to 900 MHz and to offer better graphics on Realme U1.

Realme U1 Price

The Realme U1 is expected to be priced very competitively, somewhere between 10,000 to 15,000 rupees. There will be a few variations available, where the base model of Realme U1 is expected to priced somewhere around Rs 11,000.
