The Rs 10,000-subcategory currently features a slew of new faces after a bunch of new smartphones were launched in India in the few recent weeks. Huawei branded Honor 7C, Honor 7A and Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 are a few of them. The category is led by Xiaomi best-seller Redmi Note 5, which itself was launched a few months back.
Asus is re-entering the mid-range category after a long time and Honor recently entered the ‘top five smartphone brands’ list in the country. The Huawei brand has done exceptionally well in the country and has overthrown some big smartphone companies to enter the list.

All the smartphones have a sturdy unibody build. The corners are curved on the sides for a better grip and usability. The fingerprint sensor on each of the phone is situated on the rear panel.

Honor 7C is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 450 chipset coupled with 3GB or 4GB of RAM. Redmi Note 5 comes with an octa-core Snapdragon 625 chipset coupled with 3GB or 4GB of RAM, whereas Zenfone Max Pro sports a Snapdragon 636 processor paired with 3GB or 4GB of RAM. Asus will launch a 6GB variant later.
