Meizu Pro 7 Now Available In India; Honor 7A Launched In China!
The Meizu Pro 7 which was supposed to launch in India back in November last year didn't make it due to logistical reasons.
The smartphone which made waves on the internet last year with two screens, on the front and back, has finally made its debut in the country. As per the company, the Meizu Pro 7 which was supposed to launch in India back in November last year didn’t make it due to logistical reasons.
Now, the smartphone with two screens is here. Though there has been no official launch or announcement by Meizu, the Meizu Pro 7 is available on Amazon India at a price of Rs 22,999/- in a single, Black colour option.
Meizu Pro 7 – Specifications & Features
The USP of Meizu Pro 7 is two screens. The Pro 7 boasts a 5.2 inch Full HD AMOLED display on the front with a 1.9 inch AMOLED screen on the back below the rear camera. No other smartphone before or since then has used an extra screen in the way the Meizu Pro 7 has.
The Meizu Pro 7 sports a 5.2-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display in front with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. On the back, it features a 1.9 inch secondary Super AMOLED display. The display at the back has a pixel density of 307ppi.
Under the hood, the device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P25 chipset coupled with Mali-T880 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The smartphone weighs in at 163 gm.
Though the Meizu Pro 7 is available in two storage variants elsewhere, only the 64GB variant has made it to India, with no word on the higher 128GB version.
The smartphone will run Meizu’s own Flyme OS 6.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat. There’s no news on Android 8.0 Oreo update.
The device sports a dual camera setup at the back with a combination of two 12 megapixel Sony IMX386 sensors (monochrome + RGB). The rear cameras come with an aperture of f/2.0, 1.25-micron pixel size, PDAF and a dual-tone LED flash.
Up front, the device sports a 16-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture. But the rear camera can also be used to take selfies with the help of the smaller secondary screen located on the backside.
It is a dual-sim smartphone (Nano + Nano) which supports 4G connectivity, dual-band WiFi, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS and a reversible type C USB port.
The Meizu Pro 7 comes with a 3000mAh non-removable battery with fast-charging mCharge 3.0 technology.
Honor 7A Launched In China
The Honor 7A comes with a widescreen 5.7 inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels with an 18:9 aspect ratio.
The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset coupled with 2GB or 3GB of RAM.
It is available in a single storage option of 32GB which can be expanded up to 256GB with an external memory card.
The Honor 7A will run Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with Huawei’s own EMUI 8.0 on top.
The top variant of the smartphone will come with a dual camera set up at the back with a combination of 13MP and 2MP sensors. Up front, the top variant will boast an 8MP selfie shooter.
The base variant though will come with a single 13 megapixel CMOS sensor on the back. Up front, it’s the same 8MP selfie shooter. Both the devices will come with AI-based imaging capabilities for better subject isolation with background blurring.
It is a dual-SIM smartphone with 4G VoLTE support. It includes a Micro-USB charging and data port, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS and GLONASS along with all the requisite sensors.
The smartphone will pack in a 3000mAh non-removable battery.
The base variant of the Honor 7A will cost CNY 799 (around Rs 8,350/-). The top variant costs CNY 999 (around Rs 10,350/-). While the Honor 7A will go on sale in China soon, there’s no word yet on its availability outside. The Honor 7A is available in three colour options;
