Xiaomi is getting ready with their next budget flagship in their uber popular Note series. Their massively successful Note Series will get their new successor, Redmi Note 5. Though nothing official has been confirmed yet, the set of first major details of Note 5 have been leaked online.
Android Headlines leaked a list of specs and other details, which says, Xiaomi could be launching their next Redmi Note by the end of this month and will sport Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 630 64-bit SoC, run Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box and will have the latest MiUI 9 (yet to be launched) on board.

Leaked Specifications
As per the leaked specifications, Redmi Note 5 will see a number of changes coming its way.
1. Body
The Redmi Note 5 will boast a full metal body with chamfered edges like its predecessor Redmi Note 4.
2. Fingerprint Sensor
The Fingerprint Scanner will a major change in the upcoming edition. The scanner will swap below the display on the front of the phone from the back like it’s previous editions.
3. Display
Note 5 will get the same 5.5 inch 1080p Full HD Display like Redmi Note 4. No details of any Corning Gorilla Glass or any 2.5D Curved Glass has come out yet. Though the Note 5 will apparently come with a better outdoor legibility and improved contrast ratio.
4. Processor / Hardware
The phone will be powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 64 bit octa-core processor with Adreno 508 GPU on board.
5. Storage
The Note 5 reportedly will come in two variants. One with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage and the other variant will have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage.
6. Camera
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will ship in a 16-megapixel rear shooter with a f/2.0 aperture, Phase Detection Autofocus (PDA) and dual LED Flash. On the front, it will have a 13-megapixelxel shooter.
7. Software
On the software front, the Note 5 will ship out with the latest Android Nougat 7.1.1 out-of-the-box and will have the yet to be announced, MiUI 9 on board.
8. Battery
The Note 5 will get backed by a 3,790mAh non removable battery. Redmi Note 4 had a 4100mAh battery, but Note 5 with a better processor, will have improved longevity.
9. Connectivity
The Redmi Note 5 will support the USB Type-C 3.1 with Bluetooth 5 and NFC. The handset will have Quick Charge 4.0 support, though we don’t know whether Xiaomi will ship in a Fast Charger with the handset or not. Plus, Note 5 will feature the X12 LTE modem for enhanced connectivity.
10. Price
The basic variant (3GB/32GB) is being expected to be priced at $200 which is around Rs 13,000. The phone will have two variants, and the other one (4GB/64GB) will probably cost around Rs. 15,000.
Launch, Availability and Price
As per the rumors, Xiaomi might launch Redmi Note 5 by the end of July. Like their other models, the Note 5 will probably be a Flipkart Exclusive and will cost Rs. 13,000 (approx) for the 3GB/32GB Model and Rs. 15000 (approx) for the 4GB/64GB Model.
