Ahead of Jio Gigafiber launch in March this year, Airtel has fired another salvo, aimed at luring broadband users: Free 1 TB of Data. This is easily Airtel’s one of the biggest offers, for broadband users.
India’s 2nd largest telecom operator, Airtel, has announced that very soon, all 2G and 3G SIMs will stop working, as a push for 4G is gaining ground.
Voice calls are now basically free and telcos bundle it with free data and SMS. Previously long-term plans came with such offering, but now even these ultra-budget plans come with free calls, data and SMS at just under Rs 50.
This is a special tariff voucher or STV from BSNL, which has one added advantage: Prepaid users who opt for this STV can make calls to their friends and family living in Mumbai and Delhi as well.
