Paytm Is Hiring Employees For Both Work From Home, Work From Office Job Roles: Check Full Details

Paytm’s CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma shared the details of its new work model.

The company will allow employees in tech, business and product roles to work from home or any location of their preference.

He then shared the link to the careers page and welcomed people to join the “team that has revolutionised India’s payments for good.”

“Fluid” Work Model

It was reported earlier this week that Paytm has adopted a flexible work model in which managers can decide with their teams who will come to office.

Vineet Arora, MD and CEO, Paytm General Insurance said that they wanted to make it “empowering” and fluid so that managers and team leads can create their own list of people who want to come to office on a particular day.

They will accordingly inform the admin teams and make sure the space is available.

This would mean that employees come to the office for only seven to eight days a month.

The company, with its 10,266-strong workforce says that those in certain roles, who don’t need to come to the office at all and would like to work from home, can do so.

There are also other major tech companies in India which are shifting to flexible or hybrid models.. 

Infosys 

Employees in home locations where DCs (development centers) are located or are close to the DCs will come to the office twice a week.

The company will encourage those outside the DC towns to start preparing over the next few months to see if they can return to their base development centers.

Chief Financial Officer Nilanjan Roy said that In the long term they are looking at a hybrid model of work, depending on the clients, regulatory environment and a number of other considerations.

HCL Tech

It is sticking to the hybrid mode for now.

One of the company’s top priorities is the safety and well-being of its employees and their families.

At the same time, it is also deeply committed to maintaining business normalcy and ensuring uninterrupted services to its clients.

For now, it is monitoring the situation and will continue to operate in a hybrid model.
