All 36 Judges At Patna High Court Will Get New iPhone 13 Pro; Tender Issued For Procurement Of iPhones
The Patna High Court is now inviting bids for supply of iPhone 13 Pro (256 GB) for all judges of the court.
To that end it issued a tender on Tuesday, asking interested suppliers or authorized dealers to quote a price for the models, inclusive of GST and service charges.
It has asked for “GST number, PAN, AADHAR, email and a registered mobile number clearly” in the quotation in sealed envelopes to be handed before the office of the special duty officer.
The high court will reserve the right to accept or reject any or all quotations.
Supplier must be in Patna
The bid documents will have to be submitted within a week and no advance payment shall be made.
Payment will be made only through bank (CFMS mode), not cash, after submission of a duplicate bill.
The court’s notice added that the Headquarters/ office of the firm/ shop delivering the phones must be located in Patna.
The firm or supplier will have to be ready for maintenance of the iPhone as and when it is required.
Further, defective materials should be replaced immediately, free of cost, within the warranty period.
Judge strength, total cost of the phones
The total sanctioned strength of the Patna High Court is 53 judges.
As of 1 June, the working strength was 27.
With the central government having recently notified the appointments of nine more members for the bench, the working strength will soon increase to 36.
One Apple iPhone Pro 256 GB costs Rs 1.38 lakh.
This means spending nearly Rs 50 lakh for 36 of the high-end devices.
Upcoming iPhone 14 launch
The high court’s notice comes ahead of Apple’s launch of its iPhone 14 series.
The official launch is expected sometime around the month of September.
Four new iPhone models are expected as part of the iPhone 14 series.
These are the iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro Max, and the iPhone Pro.
It is being rumored that there will be no iPhone 14 Mini, however this hasn’t been officially confirmed.
