TCS, Infosys Will Hire 90,000 Freshers Across India; Work From Home To Continue For Big IT Firms!
The attrition rate at Infosys has reportedly increased from 25.5 per cent to 27.7 per cent in March 2022.
Chief Financial Officer Nilanjan Roy said that there is a decrease of about 5 per cent in both the attrition percentage and the total heads for the quarter.
Reports say that Infosys and TCS hired 61,000 people from campuses in FY 2021.
TCS and Infosys hired 1,00,000 and 85,000 freshers respectively in the financial year 2022.
Fresher Hiring Plans
Infosys is reportedly planning to hire more than 50,000 more freshers in FY 2023
TCS also plans to recruit more than 40,000 people.
Roy said that Infosys hired 85,000 freshers across India and globally in the last financial year.
They are set to hire at least 50,000 freshers this year.
TCS Hiring, Work Model
Meanwhile, TCS will maintain the same pace of hiring as in the last financial year.
Chief Operating Officer NG Subramaniam said that they will hire 40,000 people this year and more if needed.
In terms of work model, TCS is adopting the 25X25 model under which people will be brought back to offices and later will switch to a hybrid work model.
To be specific, 25 percent of the employees will need to work from the office by 2025, meaning that work from home for the rest will continue.
HCL, Infy Plans
The employees attending offices have to spend only 25 percent of their time there.
HCL will reportedly continue to operate in the hybrid model keeping in mind the safety and well-being of its employees.
Meanwhile Infosys will open its back offices in a planned manner, after which work will be conducted in hybrid mode.
