For the purchase of a new iPhone, Apple is now offering extra trade-in credit and this offer is valid till 31^st May only. 

What is the Trade in Scheme?

Trade in means that one can exchange old phone, be it old iphone or old android smartphone for a new iPhone of one’s choice.

Under the trade in offer, Apple accepts other brand phones also. One can get an exchange value of ?5,200 to ?49,700 under the new credit scheme. 

Now how does one know what the current value of their phones is, if they want an exchange. 

The answer is, one has to answer a few questions on the Apple India website.

One is asked to procure the details of their mobile phone model as well as its IMEI number and after the submission of these two, the exchange value is automatically fetched by the system.

There is no need to go anywhere for the exchange of the phone. All one has to do is lay back and chill!

The executive from the company will come and pick up the phone once the purchase of a new iphone is confirmed. 

The new iphone will be delivered at the same time by the same person who will also pick up the old phone which is up for exchange.

These trade ins are available in the metros by Apple, but one has to furthermore check the availability of the same in one’s Zip code. The trade-in amount depends mainly on the physical condition of the phone. 

Physical condition of your smartphone is checked once the courier arrives. A diagnostic test will be run in order to confirm that internal systems and components are working properly, in case the old phone is an iPhone. The process for return for an android device would be different.

For Android; Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus, and other brands are eligible under the scheme. For example, OnePlus 8 Pro can get you ?6,180 under the trade-in offer. Samsung Galaxy S10+ may get ?12,150 for exchange. Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro could attract ?8,400. OnePlus 8T trade-in value can be ?16,300.
