Instagram’s New Feature To Enable Users To Reply To Stories Through Images And Voices
A tweet by software developer Alessandro Paluzzi has revealed this news along with screenshots. As per the screenshots shared by Paluzzi, a usual message box is visible where you can reply to your friend’s stories. However, there is a change – one screenshot shows the icon of an image, and the other shows a mic icon. There also is the image icon that has been there since before.
As per reports, users can tap on these icons to reply to stories with an image or a voice message.
In February, a feature had been rolled out by Instagram that enabled users to like others’ Stories without reacting to it in the form of a DM. Prior to this, the only way through which a reaction could be sent to the user in the text box that is present at the bottom of stories. You could also react to Stories through pre-set emojis, GIFS or stickers.
Private Story Likes Can be Viewed Too?
And now, the new “private Story likes” can be viewed by you if you have received them in the story views section of the app.
As per reports, the new image reply features will be in addition to the existing features, and it will also give more options to the users who wish to reply to Stories more creatively than the usual ones. The features will also help Instagram’s plan to move away from being just a photo-sharing app.
The head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, has previously spoken about the company’s main focus – creators, video, shopping and messaging.
The voice reply and image reply features will also help boost Instagram’s motive to encourage more creators, video content and messaging on the platform.
