Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is set to launch 10 cars in India in the next 2 years as it works to strengthen its domestic lineup.

Besides its own vehicles, Toyota will join forces with Maruti Suzuki to launch products developed together.

D22

This is one involving both Toyota and Maruti Suzuki.

It will be launched as a competitor to Hyundai Creta, MG Astor, Renault Duster, Nissan Kicks and Kia Seltos.

This could be the most important launch for either carmaker since both are betting on it to help them crack the mid-size SUV segment in India.

Codenamed D22 by Toyota and YFG by Maruti Suzuki, it could arrive during the festive season this year.

Glanza

Toyota rebadged the Baleno as Glanza for the Indian market.

Its joint venture partner Maruti Suzuki will launch the updated Baleno in February.

Toyota will follow suit with the Glanza although the exact launch timeline is not yet known.

Urban Cruiser

This is the Vitara Brezza rebadged by Toyota as the Urban Cruiser.

The new Vitara Brezza will be launched by Maruti Suzuki in April followed by Toyota.

It gets a redesigned exterior, interior and an updated features list.

The Heartect platform could also be tweaked for improved safety.

SUV Coupe

Toyota is reportedly working on an SUV coupe based on the Baleno’s Heartect platform.

It is codenamed YTB by Maruti Suzuki and will be sold by Toyota sometime next year.

Hilux

Bookings for the pick-up truck are already open and customers will have to pay Rs. 50,000 as the booking amount.

Prices will be revealed in March and deliveries will also begin then.

Two variants will be offered- Standard and High.

It is expected to cost Rs. 35 lakhs.

Land Cruiser 300

The new-gen Land Cruiser was unveiled last year and could arrive in India sometime next year.

It runs on two twin-turbo engines and has a more advanced features list than the previous gen.

Belta

Toyota has given the Ciaz the rebadging treatment as a replacement to the discontinued Yaris.

It will likely be powered by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder K15B petrol engine with mild hybrid technology.

It produces 105 PS maximum power and 138 Nm of peak torque, paired with a five-speed MT or a four-speed AT.

Rumion

This seven-seater may be positioned below the top selling Innova Crysta.

The Rumion is sold as the rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga in some international markets, so a domestic arrival shouldn’t be far away.

It is powered by the same 1.5-litre K15B mild-hybrid engine.

C MPV

Codenamed 560B, the C-segment MPV will be launched after the D22 midsize SUV in 2023.

It is expected to be powered by a petrol engine with a higher degree of hybridisation with both manual and automatic transmissions on offer.

It will take on the Kia Carens in the Rs. 15 lakh price bracket.

RAV4 or C-HR

Speculations are rife that Toyota could be coming out with the RAV4 and the C-HR crossover in India.

The latter was spotted on test rides, so a launch within the next 2 years is in the realm of possibility.
