Bookings For Kia’s New 7-Seater Starts; Can It Beat Innova, XL6, Marazzo? (Expected Price, USPs)

With the start of the nature’s festival, Kia India has announced that bookings of its latest product Kia Carens will begin from January 14 on Thursday.

For booking this premium MPV, you can visit the Kia India website along with the dealerships across the country at an amount of Rs 25,000.

After Kia Seltos, Sonet and Carnival, Kia Carens MPV comes as the brand’s fourth product in the Indian market. 

This newly launched MPV from Kia will rival the likes of Maruti Suzuki XL6, Mahindra Marazzo, Toyota Innova Crysta and Hyundai Alcazar. 

Locally Manufactured

For the manufacturing, Kia plans to manufacture this MPV locally in India.

Further, this will be shipped to 90 overseas markets, including both left hand and right-hand drive markets.

The Kia Carens MPV will be offered in a total of eight color options including Imperial Blue, Moss Brown, Sparkling Silver, Intense Red, Aurora Black Pearl, Gravity Gray, Glacier White Pearl and Clear White.

The South Korean car manufacturer claims that the Carens comes with the blending the style of a premium SUV and the practicality of an MPV.

On top of that, the Kia Carens is offered with several first-in-class features. 

Kia Carens Design And Specifications

Coming to design and aesthetics, Kia Carens comes with a design which is completely different from the other Kia cars launched in India. 

Compared to Seltos and Sonet, this new launch gets a different looking front fascia.

For instance, sleek LED headlamps with LED daytime running lights, a sleek chrome-finished humanity line complimented by large black grille and bumper with chrome accents.

Kia Carens comes with sporty alloy wheels, a fluid-looking side profile are other design elements that enhance its visual appeal.

Coming to interiors, it gets a stylish and practical appearance that offers ample space and comfort to the occupants with its overall layout and features on offer. 

To increase the appeal, a digital instrument cluster, digital infotainment system at the center console. 

Safety Features In Kia Carens

In terms of safety features, the MPV offers six airbags as standard across all trims.

Along with nine additional safety features under the Robust 10 Hi-Safety package including ABS, ESC, VSM, Hill Assist.

For delivering power, Kia Carens MPV will be available in three different powertrain options including 1.5-litre Smartstream petrol, 1.4-litre TGDi Smartstream petrol and a 1.5-litre CRDi VGT diesel unit. 

Kia MPV will offer transmission options having a six-speed manual gearbox, a seven-speed DCT automatic gearbox and a six-speed automatic unit as well.
