In the new year 2022, Hyundai has a lot of new models lined up for the Indian automobile market. Here’s a list of five new cars by Hyundai that are all set to disrupt the Indian market!

Hyundai Creta Facelift 

Hyundai Creta’s Facelift has recently been unveiled in Indonesia. The car will come with a reworked front end which will resemble the new Tucson. There will also be a parametric grille that will be spread across the width of the car. The engine on the car is a sole 115hp, 144Nm, 1.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine, which will be paired with a 6-speed manual or CVT automatic gearbox. There will also be other engine options such as 1.5L NA petrol, 1.4L turbo-petrol, and 1.5L turbo-diesel.

Hyundai Venue Facelift 

Hyundai Venue Facelift will be launched in the new year 2022 and will be within the price range of Rs. 7 lakh to Rs. 12 lakh. The car reportedly has already been spotted testing in Korea. There will be some changes to the vehicle and will have an upgraded styling and some additional features as compared to the old one.

Hyundai Tucson 

The next-gen Hyundai Tucson is scheduled to be launched in India in 2022. While there is no news about the launch timeline of the car but is already available in international markets in two variants – long-wheelbase and short-wheelbase variant. India will probably get the long-wheelbase variant. Additionally, the variant that will be launched in India will come with the 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 190bhp and 260Nm of torque and will be paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

Hyundai Kona EV 

The facelifted version of the Kona EV is expected to be launched in India in early 2022. The SUV will have an updated exterior and interior along with new mechanical changes. It will have a new front fascia with a new closed grille, new DRLs, and new sharper headlamps with a high-tech inner bezel that incorporates multifaceted reflector (MFR) technology. The new model will be 40mm longer than the previous model. The Hyundai Kona EV Facelift will come with two different battery packs – 64kWH and 39.2kWh offering 204PS/395Nm and 136PS/395Nm.  

Hyundai Ioniq 5

Hyundai Ioniq 5 was unveiled earlier in 2021, and the first-ever EV to be built on the brand’s E-GMP architecture. The car will come with two battery options – 72.6 kWh and 58kWh – both available with a choice between single-motor (RWD) and dual-motor (AWD) configurations. According to sources, the Ioniq 5 will arrive next year via the CBU route in limited numbers.
