Xiaomi 12 Ultra With SD 898 Launching Soon: Price, USPs, Features & More
When last year, Xiaomi launched Mi 11 Ultra, many eyes were widened. With this smartphone, the company took a big leap in the flagship smartphone segment. Even though it hasn’t been long since the device arrived in the markets, people are getting excited about the next one in the series, Xiaomi 12 Ultra. The market is flush with leaks around Xiaomi 12 Ultra.
Xiaomi 12 Ultra will come in two variants
According to the latest reports, Xiaomi will launch two variants of the device – a standard Xiaomi 12 Ultra and another Xiaomi 12 Ultra Enhanced Edition. Incidentally, both these smartphones were spotted in Xiaomi’s MIUI source code with codenames – Thor and Loki (These are two famous brothers from the Marvel Cinematic Universe). The variant named Thor is expected to be the Ultra, while the one codenamed Loki could be launched as the Xiaomi 12 Ultra Enhanced Edition.
Features of Xiaomi 12
According to reports, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra is expected to feature Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 898 chipset.
According to leaks, Xiaomi 12 Ultra may feature a 50-megapixel primary Samsung GN5 sensor paired with three 48-megapixel sensors. One of these cameras could be an ultrawide lens. It is being said that the maximum zoom on this camera system will be limited to 120x for stills which are the same as the Mi 11 Ultra. This phone might also come with an under-display fingerprint scanner. The phone could support 100W charging.
Xiaomi 12 is rumored to feature a curved display with a centered selfie camera. The smartphone might feature a 2K resolution LTPO panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi 12 might come up with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of onboard storage. The camera system on Xiaomi 12 will be more or less the same as the Xiaomi 12 Ultra.
Launch Date and Price
As per the sources, the smartphone could be launched in Q2 2022. We are sure that the Mi 12 Ultra will be a flagship offering. The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra was launched at 69,999 in India. Hence we are expecting the upcoming model to be priced similarly or in a slightly higher range.
