The sales figures of automobiles for all automakers have been released for the month of October 2021. Among the top 10 most selling cars, is the home-gown Tata Motors’ newly launched micro SUV, Punch, which has managed to secure the 10th position in the list.

The position of the most selling car in October 2021 has also been secured by an SUV, Hyundai’s Venue. Throughout the list it is observed that customers are gradually shifting towards SUVs now, as the sales figure of small cars and hatchbacks were outperformed by that of SUVs.

Ranking from the tenth position, listed below are the top 10 most sold cars in October 2021.

#10. Nissan Magnite

The five-seater SUV has beaten Renault Kiger to secure its position as the 10th most purchased car in the month, with the sales figure of 3,389 units in Oct, 2021.

The seven-seater SUV sold over 3,400 units, or 3,407 units to be exact, in the month of October.

#8. Mahindra XUV300

The five-seater SUV of the homegrown automaker has sold 5,443 in the month of October this year, which is a 13.9% decline in its year-on-year sales figure. The auto industry has largely been hit by the slump in semiconductor chip supply  globally.

The five-seater compact SUV managed to sell a total of 4,203 units in the month of October, 2021. While its sales in the focused month declined by 53.5% YoY, the car has managed to secure the 7th position in the list.

#6. Hyundai Creta

The widely famous five-seater SUV sold a total of 6,455 units last month, a decline of 53.9% YoY in the sales figure, due to the chip shortage issue globally.

#5. Maruti Vitara Brezza

Despite registering a decline of 33.5% in the sales figure for October 2021, on a YoY basis, Maruti Vitara Brezza managed to secure the fifth position in the list of most sold cars in the month of October, with 8,032 units of the SUV sold.

The homegrown automaker’s recently-launched micro SUV, Punch, launched on October 20, sold a record 8,453 units in October, 2021. 

#3. Tata Nexon

Another Tata Motors’ model in the list of top five most selling cars of October 2021, is Tata Nexon. The five-seater compact SUV sold 10,096 units in the month, a 46.5% jump in the sales figure on a YoY basis.

#2. Kia Seltos 

The five-seater SUV was the second most selling vehicle of October 2021, reporting a sales figure of 10,448 units, growing 17.8% on a YoY basis.

#1. Hyundai Venue

The five-seater SUV was the most purchased car in October 2021, selling a total of 10,554 units in the one month-period, surging its sales figure by 19.5% YoY.
