400,000 TCS Employees Return To Office: This Is How TCS Will Manage This Transition
TCS has announced that it is moving from work from home to work from the office! By the end of this year or the beginning of next year, the corporation plans to call 90% of its employees back to work.
Earlier in July, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd, the country’s biggest outsourcer, said that it hoped to vaccinate all its employees and their families by September.
“Recognizing that vaccination was our best bet to an early return to normalcy, we undertook a pan-India vaccination drive that began in May. Also, 70% of the company’s staff had been fully or partially vaccinated so far.”

Other than TCS many other companies like Wipro, TCS, HCL Tech resume work from the office.
TCS 25*25 Model
Milind Lakkad, global head, human resources had said that TCS created a blueprint, Vision 25/25 to ensure that 25 per cent of its employees were present only 25 per cent of the time in offices to be 100 per cent productive.
TCS plans to put through the hybrid model 25×25 wherein by 2025, only 25% of its associates will need to work out of facilities at any point in time. According to the model, employees won’t be spending more than 25 per cent of their time at work.
But this model will be overwhelming for young mothers and women who are caring for the elderly. It will also help in tier 2 and 3 cities as remote working becomes a norm
“Our customers are comfortable with this model and want us to take on more work that others are not able to handle. This has given us the confidence to come out with a bold new Vision 25×25. Under this model, the company is expecting only 1.12 lakh to work from office by 2025.”
TCS Safe Workplace Method
The TCS Safe Workplace technique aims to provide a smooth workplace by monitoring a safe, secure and productive work environment. It aids in reducing the difficulties of redefining safety measures to preserve social distance.
The system provides end-to-end services in advising, design, implementation, and maintenance thanks to an encompassing deployment methodology and a powerful integration layer.
The method measures employee readiness, workplace climate, and workforce model. It comes with a dashboard and a collection of apps for gathering feedback as well as automating return-to-work activities like contract tracing, shift management, and workspace design.
It also guarantees that the company works smoothly throughout the changeover. When you put, TCS Safe Workplace creates a command centre based on a single source of truth to monitor key requirements — from self-attestation to contact tracing for employee well-being, and from communications for awareness creation to grievance resolution management.
An organisation can also proactively alter its processes to avoid challenges that may disrupt business as usual by recognising pandemic zone hotspots and enabling fact-based decision-making.
