The Jio Phone Next has been a topic of discussion for quite a while now. In the first or second week of September Jio Phone Next was expected to be launched in India.
But it seems like the plan has hit a bump on the road. Google and Jio, recently announced that Jio’s upcoming affordable 4G smartphone has been delayed due to the ongoing global chip shortage. The phone will now be launched around Diwali.
Till date, there’s no official announcement from the company regarding the price of the Jio Phone Next. Several reports have suggested that the smartphone could be priced at Rs 3,499.
However, according to the latest reports, the Jio Phone Next price could be higher than the rumored price.
The global chip shortage has increased the prices of components by 20 percent. It has forced many smartphone makers to hike the prices of their phones. JioPhone might not be an exception for this.
Rumored Specifications of the JioPhone Next
The Jio Phone Next might come with a 5.5-inch HD display. It will also sport thick black bezels at the top and bottom. It would be powered by the Snapdragon 215 chipset by Qualcomm. In terms of memory, it will be it will have variants like 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal storage.
The smartphone would be having Android 11 (Go Edition) for its operating system. It will come with some special features announced by Google during the announcement.
It might boast a powerful 2,500mAh battery. It would come with a 13MP primary rear camera and an 8MP camera on the front.
