The travelling public of India prefers two wheelers to cars, as it comes with the advantage of less space and faster mobility. And now, the government is pushing the citizens to adopt electric vehicles for a healthier environment.

Top Five Electric Scooters To Be Launched In Indian Automobile Market

Ola Electric

Popular online cab hailing company, Ola is now coming up with an electric scooter. Ola‘s electric scooters will be making their entry in the Indian market in July as confirmed by Ola Electric. Ola will be setting up more than 5000 charging points in 100 cities of India in the first year. The network will be capable of charging 50 percent of the Ola Scooter battery in 18 minutes for a 75 km range. 

Ather Energy

Ather’s new e-scooter Ather Energy will be adding to its existing lineup in India. There also are some leaked patent documents from the manufacturer; however, no technical specifications have been revealed yet. Last year, we reported to you that Ather 450X is to be launched in Pune, Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Coimbatore, Kolkata, and Hyderabad, after a successful launch in Bengaluru and Chennai.

Honda Benly e/PCX electric

Honda Benly electric scooter was sighted in India; it was being tested by ARAI. As per reports, the bike will be offered with two electric motor options, a 2.8kW unit and a 4.2kW unit. Additionally, it will also be paired with swappable batteries. 

Yamaha’s electric scooter

Yamaha India had declared that a new electric scooter is being developed for the Indian market. The company is currently looking over the country’s EV policy and has also stated that it has the necessary tech for the same.

Suzuki Burgman EV

Suzuki is working on the launch of an electric version of the Burgman in the Indian market. A patent document for the e-scooter was leaked online recently, which confirmed the plans. Also, no technical specifications have been revealed yet.
