Reliance Jio’s Emergency Data Loan
Reliance Jio Infocomm has introduced a new data pack service to its prepaid customers, which provides them with instant high-speed, which they can pay for later.
Called the ‘Emergency Data Loan’, the latest offering by Jio comes at a time when its rival Bharti Airtel is launching different services for its customers, which are attracting many Jio users too.
Under the Emergency Data Loan service, prepaid customers with an existing base plan can get up to five data loan packs of 1GB each, amounting to 5GB in total.
This means, users who have exhausted their existing data pack before its validity expires can choose to use this service and pay for the additional data used later.
Each of the 1GB loan packs of the total 5GB, is priced at Rs 11/pack. The added data pack will be valid until the existing base pack is valid.
Please note that in order to avail the facility, one must have an existing base plan active.
“Emergency data loan facility provides flexibility of ‘Recharge Now and Pay Later’ functionality to Jio users who run out of their high speed daily data quota and are unable to recharge immediately”, said a source.
Jio targets a total subscriber base of 500 million, through this service.
Users can make use of this data pack service through the My Jio app.
