This Rajdhani Express Will Get Tejas-Type Coaches With Extra Luxuries (What’s Included?)

As per new reports, Rajdhani Express will now be getting a makeover. We can expect the premium train to be turned into a luxurious and upgraded train with a lot better features.

The railway will also be equipped with coaches that are styled similar to those on the Tejas Express.

Mumbai Delhi Rajdhani Express To Get Tejas Styled Coaches

Rajdhani Express is all set to be equipped with multiple features, which include automatic door closing coaches, better toilet facilities, and comfortable seats as well, as promised by the Indian Railways.

Starting next week, the Mumbai-Delhi Rajdhani Express will also be getting Tejas styled coaches, which have also been fitted in the Agartala-Anand Vihar Rajdhani Express. As confirmed by sources in Western Railway, these coaches will come with better features and amenities that will ensure the comfort and safety of the passengers. 

However, the catch is that the national transporter might increase the cost of the ticket fares for these newly assembled coaches. 

As per an official of the WR, “We are likely to replace the regular LHB coaches with these Tejas Express coaches for better amenities and passenger experience. It shall be called as Rajdhani Tejas special that shall provide new era of train travel.”

These new coaches are part of the 500 luxury coaches that are being manufactured by Modern Coach Factory in Rae Bareli and Integral Coach Factory, Chennai. The new train will have smart featured 1 AC, 2 AC, and 3-tier AC coaches. This will also give a new face to the interior and exterior of the coaches. 

Additionally, the under frame is also made of stainless steel which will be a corrosion free and aero-dynamic.

Improved Seats, Mobile Charging Point, CCTVs, And Many More Features

The train will also come with improved seats and berths with PU foam for better comfort, reading light and mobile charging point next to each berth, roller blinds to replace curtains, CCTVs, single piece side lower berth.

1. Modular bio-toilet: they will come with vacuum assisted flushing, touch-less flushing, and occupancy sensors.
2. Gel coated shelf, door latch activated dustbin and one mother-baby friendly toilet in each coach
3. LED reading lights in each berth
4. Water level and air quality sensors
5. Fire alarm, detection and suppression
6. Digital destination boards, passenger announcement and information system, emergency talk-back
