Tata Will Launch A New Covind-19 Vaccine In India

As per an exclusive report by ET, it has been revealed that Tata is all set to launch a new Covid-19 vaccine, which is being developed by Moderna.

Officials from Tata are in talks with Govt to start clinical trials for this new vaccine, and then roll out across India.

For the clinical trials, Tata can team up with Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) as well.

Tata’s New Healthcare Company Will Take Up This Task

As per the reports, Tata Group has recently unveiled a new company under their umbrella: Tata Medical & Diagnostics, which can take up this task of launching a new vaccine, in partnership with Moderna and Council of Scientific & Industrial Research.

Tata Medical & Diagnostics was launched last year during the pandemic, to offer diagnostic and medical care services for Indian citizens.

By launching a new vaccine, this new venture by Tata can change a lot of things.

Note here, that Govt of India has already approved emergency usage of two vaccines: One developed by Oxford and AstraZeneca PLC,and being manufactured by Serum Institute in Pune, and the other vaccine is being developed by Bharat Biotech and the Indian Council of Medical Research.

As per reports coming in, Moderna has achieved a success rate of 94.5% during their clinical trials.

The big question is: Will Govt allow the clinical trials and distribution of the 3rd vaccine by Moderna?
