American electric vehicle company, Tesla has now announced that it will be offering a free self-driving package for its customers for three months. However, there are some conditions for this feature too.

Additionally, Tesla will be launching a car in India, and it has been officially confirmed too!

Tesla To Offer Free 3-Month Self-Driving Package; What Are The Conditions?

Tesla has been working on employing the Full Self-Driving (FSD) system in order to bring complete autonomous driving to all the vehicles that support Tesla. And now, the electric vehicle company will be offering this feature for some select customers for free now.

However, there is a condition for those who want to avail of this feature – only the Tesla vehicles that have been delivered to customers on December 29th, 30th, and 31st will be able to enjoy this feature. As per reports, the documentation and delivery of the vehicles should be completed before midnight on December 31st.

Elon Musk, early investor, CEO and product architect of Tesla, Inc., confirmed the news through a tweet, saying that, “All Tesla cars delivered in the final three days of the year will get three months of the Full Self-Driving option for free. Delivery & docs must be fully complete by midnight Dec 31st.”

As per reports, this FSD package is a $10,000 feature, and will be offered by Tesla as a subscription service for its cars. The system will offer multiple features, including, highway driving, including interchanges and overtaking, automatic lane changes, parallel and perpendicular parking, stopping and driving off at traffic lights, and of course, summon.

Tesla To Launch Model 3 In India Soon? Union Minister Confirms!

The Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways and Minister of MSMEs, Nitin Gadkari has recently confirmed that Tesla will be launching a car in India soon enough. 

Tesla will reportedly be entering the market with its first “mass market” offering, the Model 3. The bookings of the same will start in January and the deliveries are expected to initiate within the first 3 months of 2020.

There also has been news about the State governments of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu being in discussions with Tesla about investment opportunities in India.
