This Indian Auto Company Has Built A Township For Employees; Flats Will Be Owned By Employees!?

In a strong gesture towards appreciating loyalty and hard work, Maruti Suzuki has built an entire township for their employees, and several flats were handed over to them, in the 1st batch.

Here are more details about this employee-benefit scheme, which is rarely seen in India.

Maruti Builts Entire Township For Employees

As per the promise, Maruti Suzuki has built an entire township for their employees.

There will be around 360 flats in this township, which is situated at Dharuhera, in Harayana. This place is around 40 kms from Manesar, where Maruti has its biggest plant.

The flats have been eco-friendly.

Explaining the reason behind this initiative, Maruti said, “One of the key reasons of Maruti Suzuki’s sustained success and leadership despite presence of many global players is that the relationship between the company and its employees is of partnership and mutual trust,”

The township is called Maruti Suzuki Enclave.

Employees Will Own The Flats In This Township

As per the information shared by Maruti, this township will be owned and managed by the employees, and they will have full control over it.

This is unlike other such residential projects by other companies, wherein the employees are merely residents for a temporary phase.

Maruti Suzuki did the following:

• Initiated bulk negotiation for purchasing the land, and building
• Ensuring highest quality of engineering and building materials
• Negotiated with the Harayana Govt for fast approvals
• Offered financial support and low-interest loans for the employees
• Ensured that the employees avail loans under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana and Deen Dayal Jan Awas Yojana

This way, the employees will be the owners of their own flats.

Earlier, Maruti Suzuki had developed flats and townships for their employees at Chakkarpur in 1989 and the second in Bhondsi in 1994.
