India’s largest car producer, Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) is presently working on introducing two all-new products in the domestic market in the span of the next two months.

Firstly, it will launch the new generation Alto in India next month and the Grand Vitara midsize SUV will be introduced in September.

New Generation Alto Launch

To be specific, the new generation Alto will be launched on August 18, 2022.

This entry-level hatchback will sit on the lightweight Heartect platform as its volume-based siblings.

compared to the outgoing model, the third generation Maruti Alto will have bigger proportions.

It will be equipped with a new K10C three-cylinder DualJet petrol mill that was recently launched in the S-Presso.

Paired with a five-speed manual or a five-speed AMT transmission, it produces a maximum power output of 67 hp and 89 Nm of peak torque.

Besides that a CNG variant is expected to join the fray later.

In the meantime, the existing 796 cc three-pot petrol engine will continue to develop 48 hp and 69 Nm.

Notably, this is going to be the first major update for the hatch since the last generation came out in 2012.

When it comes to Alto, it has been an all-time best-seller for the Indo-Japanese brand.

Not only that, it has been gracing the market for more than two decades.

Coming to aesthetics, the 2022 Maruti Alto gets a thoroughly revised exterior that seems like taking inspiration from the Celerio.

It will come with an updated interior boasting a touchscreen infotainment system, electrically adjustable ORVMs, power windows, etc.

Maruti Suzuki All-new Grand Vitara Launch

Next in the line is Maruti Suzuki all-new Grand Vitara midsize SUV, which will be launched in the Indian market in September 2022.

A few days back, the five-seater was revealed and will compete with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos upon arrival.

When it comes to offering, the Grand Vitara will be retailed in a mild hybrid and a strong hybrid guise with the latter enabling a claimed fuel economy of close to 28 kmpl.

In terms of dimensions, the 4.3-metre long SUV will become the most advanced Maruti Suzuki upon launch.

This Suv shares several commonalities with the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, which will be launched on August 16.

Coming to features, it will have a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, HUD, a 360-degree camera, automatic climate control, six airbags, cruise control, and a lot more.
