H1B Visa Ban Impact: TCS Will Hire 46% More Americans; 10,000 New Job Openings By 2020 In US
India’s largest IT service provider, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced that it will be hiring/recruiting about 10,000 new employees by 2022, in the US.
If you have been following us closely, you must be aware that as active as the US President Trump has been in tightening the entry of foreign labour into the US soil, the coronavirus pandemic has just added spice in already stringent reforms for foreign citizens wanting to work in the US.
In fact, over the past few years, Indian IT firms in the US have been actively hiring US employees, due to the complex reformation steps taken by the administration there,
TCS’ Excellent Performance Lead to New Hirings
While the Mumbai-based IT giant reports expectedly hiring nearly 10000 employees in the US by 2022, it must be noted that TCS has already hired over 21,500 employees in the US alone, in the last 5 years.
As per a statement by the company, TCS is among the top two US recruiters of IT services talent.
It is due to the US enterprises’ heavy reliance on technology during the pandemic, that TCS has seen a surge in demand for its services.
It adds that in order to bolster this growth and provide excellent services, TCS will be recruiting about 10,000 new employees in the US by 2022.
As of September 30, 2020, TCS displayed a total headcount of 4,53,540, from all of its centres comprising 147 nationalities.
TCS: A Superbrand in the US
It is not just great numbers and performance which has been in favour of the Mumbai based IT giant in the US, TCS’ brand reputation has gained it the status of a US ‘Superbrand’.
Multitudes of companies across over 90 industries were evaluated in the US, based upon the strength of its brand reputation across channels, business performance, industry-leading job creation, scale of employee training and development, and dedication to nationwide corporate social responsibility initiatives.
TCS, along with 34 other brands in the country was awarded the status of the US Superbrands, which it shares alongside Google and Amazon, in the tech sector.
This enlistment gives TCS the independent power of evaluating and branding other companies in the US.
