Coming to the new Poco X3, it has been launched in two Poco X3 variants launched in two colour options.

Poco X3 price in India may start at Rs 17,999 for the base model. Poco X3 India launch is expected in a couple of weeks from now. 

Poco X3 battery can be charged fully in 65 minutes and it ships with a 33W charger. Poco X3 has a 64MP powered quad camera setup, IP53 certification, 120Hz display, NFC support with a punch-hole. Poco X3 is also the world’s first smartphone to come with Qualcomm’s mid-range Snapdragon 732G SoC.

Design, Display: Poco X3 vs Poco M2 Pro

With an all new design on the out, the Poco X3 features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ display offering 120Hz refresh rate in an 20:9 aspect ratio. Poco X3 features a single punch-hole upfront. The device is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It’s not an AMOLED panel, and operates at 1080 × 2400 pixels.

In comparison, Poco M2 Pro has a similar design as the already available Redmi Note 9 Pro series in India. The device dons a glass back with dualtone finish of either black, green or grey. The device has a textured finish on the lower side.

As the Redmi Note 9 Pro series, Poco M2 Pro comes with a similar 6.67-inch LCD display with 60Hz refresh rate. 

There’s a Poco branding down with “48MP Quad camera” written above the camera module. It features P2i coating which makes it splash proof. Poco X3 is IP53 certified.

Poco X3 has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor unlike the rear-mounted one on Poco M2 Pro.

Poco X3 has a 120Hz single punch-hole display, the Poco M2 Pro has a lower 60Hz display with a similar single punch-hole. The Full HD+ display on both Poco X3 and Poco M2 Pro are extra smooth and well enough to play games and watch movies.

Hardware, Storage: Poco X3 vs Poco M2 Pro

Poco X3 runs on Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 732G chipset. Poco X3 is the first phone to use the new Snapdragon 732G. The Snapdragon chip pairs with 6GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The hardware has an integrated cooling technology called LiquidCool 1.0 Plus system.

If compared, the new mid-range Snapdragon chip comes with some substantial improvement over last year’s Snapdragon 730G.

Poco M2 Pro runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G coupled with Adreno 618 GPU. The new Poco smartphone will have 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB storage with support for expandable storage.

In terms of day to day performance, both Poco M2 Pro and Poco X3 will perform the same without any difference. Gaming on Poco X3 will also remain very similar as the predecessor, Poco X2.

Snapdragon 732G and Snapdragon 720G share almost similar features and specs as its original Snapdragon 730 with segmented CPU configuration, GPU and connectivity options. In terms of daily use you won’t find any noticeable difference.

Software, UI: Poco M2 Pro vs Poco X3

For MIUI 12 lovers there’s some good news. Poco X3 has MIUI 12 running out-of-the-box. The new MIUI 12 offers improved animations, visuals, unlocking speeds, app switches, enhanced control in landscape mode and more. The UI comes loaded with features and bloatware, and delivers a clean performance as any other non-stock device.

Poco M2 Pro runs on the latest Android 10 with MIUI 11 out-of-the-box with a special Poco launcher on top. MIUI 12 Poco M2 Pro will be soon rolled out.

Cameras: Poco X3 vs Poco M2 Pro

Both the Poco smartphones come with rear quad camera systems. Coming to optics, the Poco X3 has a quad-camera setup. The four camera system comprises of a primary 64-megapixel Sony IMX682 sensor with f/1.9 aperture along, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture.

Along with the two sensors, there are two 2-megapixel cameras for depth and macro shots. Upfront, Poco X3 gets a single-lens camera sensor this time compared to the dual lens on Poco X2.

At the back, Poco M2 Pro with the quad rear camera setup has the 48-megapixel as main shooter, an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle, 5-megapixel macro and 2-megapixel depth sensor.

We recently tested the new Sony IMX682 sensor on Realme 7 Pro, the same sensor used on Poco X3. So colours on Poco X3 are going to be quite accurate with proper white balance playing the role.

Upfront, Poco X3 flaunts a dual selfie camera setup inside the capsule shaped punch-hole sporting a 20-megapixel front-facing primary sensor coupled with a 2-megapixel depth sensor while Poco M2 Pro features a 16-megapixel selfie camera inside the single punch-hole.

Battery, Fast Charging: Poco M2 Pro vs Poco X3

Finally, coming to the battery, the all new Poco X3 houses a larger 5,160mAh battery. Poco X3 battery can be charged fully in 65 minutes and it ships with a 33W charger. Poco X3 supports 33W fast charging technology, and ships with the fast charging 33W adapter as the predecessor.

On top, the Poco X3 gets NFC, an IR Blaster and a 3.5mm jack. In comparison, Poco M2 Pro houses a larger 5,000mAh battery supporting 33W faster fast charging technology. Poco M2 Pro charging time from 0 percent to 100 percent is around 60 minutes.

Pricing, Availability: Poco X3 vs Poco M2 Pro

Poco M2 price in India starts at Rs 13,999. Poco M2 Pro will be available in two storage options in India: the base model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at Rs 13,999. The mid-end Poco M2 Pro variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at Rs 14,999. 

Finally, the top-end Poco M2 Pro variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs 16,999.

Poco M2 Pro will come in three different color options: Out of the blue, Green and greener and Two shades of black.

Poco X3 has been launched in two variants. The new Poco flagship will be available in two colour options: Cobalt Blue and Shadow Gray. Both the colours will have the latest Chroma design.

The Poco X3 price starts at Euro 229 (around Rs 19,880), will now be available for a limited price of Euro 199 (around Rs 17,280). The higher-end Poco X3 is priced at Euro 269 (around Rs 23,360).

Poco X3 sale starts on September 8. Poco X3 price in India may start at Rs 17,999 for the base model. Poco X3 India launch is expected in a couple of weeks from now. Poco X3 launch in India seems probable by October. Poco X3 Flipkart availability can also be confirmed given the brand’s tie with Flipkart.
