After a gap of 4.5 months, Indian Govt has finally allowed Overseas Citizens of India to enter from some selected nations.

Besides, if they are in India, then they can leave India too, however, under some circumstances.

Here are all the details.

OCI Card Holders Allowed To Enter India

Overseas Citizenship of India or OCI Card Holders from US, UK, France and Germany have been allowed to enter India now.

These are the nations with which India has formulated air bubbles for seamless connectivity.

International flights were suspended since March 23, and for the first time, OCI Card holders have been allowed to enter India from these nations.

Other citizens from these nations can also apply for Indian visa, and enter India related with medical, education or business purpose.

The Union Home Ministry has issued permission for OCI Card holders from these nations to enter India.

The order said, “Other foreigners from these countries also allowed to avail Indian visa facility for business, medical and employment purposes,”

Atleast before 72 hours, the OCI Card holders should submit a self-declaration form at www.newdelhiairport.in

Can OCI Card Holders Leave India As Well?

Yes, OCI Card holers who are stranded in India can also leave India, and reach US, UK, France and Germany.

However, the concerned airlines should ensure that there are no travel restrictions for such OCI Card holders, and their visa category before booking the tickets and applying for visa at their respective embassies.

Note here, that there is no restriction on the movement of cargos from or into India, and the restrictions, if any, only holds for the passengers.

In June, certain categories of OCI Card holders were allowed to enter India. This included foreign nationals married to Indians.
