Xiaomi Enters the 5G League!

Xiaomi released the Redmi K30 4G and Redmi K30 5G (as launched in China) with dual front camera and four cameras on the rear in December. The smartphone was rebranded in India as Poco X2 which launched this February, 2020.

The excitement has been brewing about the Redmi K30 Pro for a long time now!

The teaser poster launched reveals that the Redmi K30 Pro will ditch the punch-hole notch and instead favour a pop-up selfie shooter, similar to Redmi K20 Pro. It’s assumed that the phone will pack a Snapdragon 865 SoC paired with the Snapdragon X55 5G modem.

The upcoming Redmi K30 Pro is presumed to pack a 4,700mAh battery and will have support for an upgraded 33W fast charging technology. Redmi K30 Pro will feature an OLED full-screen display. Coming to optics, K30 Pro will have the same Sony IMX686 64MP sensor as Redmi K30 inside a circular camera module featuring a total of four cameras.

The flagship chip will pair with 8GB/12GB of RAM, expected to be LPDDR5. Redmi K30 Pro launch is expected to happen in March.

The other specs of the device are yet to be unveiled but could this smartphone be also called Poco X2 Pro in India?

ISRO’s Navigation System in Redmi SmartPhone?

Meanwhile, Xiaomi Global Vice President Manu Kumar Jain recently tweeted confirming the next Redmi phone arriving in India will be the first to feature the Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) very own NacIC, the satellite navigation system of India.

The smartphone he is talking about might be the K30 Pro as the timing seems a little suspect. But a photo of him gifting the ISRO chairman a Redmi K20 Pro adds fire to the rumours. The rumours will be confirmed when the Redmi K30 Pro will be launched.
