Some very interesting news is coming in, from the telecom circles regarding 4G and 5G.

On the other hand, Airtel, Jio and Vodafone have announced their 5G trials, and Huawei has not been ignored in these trials.

BSNL 4G By March 1st, For Entire India?

As per incoming reports, BSNL has written to Department of Telecom, regarding allocating spectrum for 4G network, and the reason is that they wish to launch 4G pan-India, by March 1st.

An unnamed source said, “BSNL has written to DoT asking the licensor to release spectrum, as agreed by the Government earlier, to start 4G services by March 1.”

As per the source, BSNL is trying to hard to revive their operations and revenues on a large scale, and launching 4G services would be the best way forward.

As of now, BSNL is providing 4G services using 3G spectrum in some circles, via high-end Base Transceiver Stations (BTS). However, once they receive 4G spectrum, then rollout of all seamless 4G services would be easier, and more diversified with better network speed.

Meanwhile, Deloitte has been roped in by BSNL to negotiate and ensure continuity of services, after more than 70,000 employees opted for VRS.
