After a long haul, Huawei is finally back into business. The sales dropped and users turned away from Huawei and Honor smartphones after the US ban. The company went into a huge crisis after Google was made to stop delivering them software services, and it was in the middle haywire.
Well, everything’s in control now, and Huawei has things in line.
The company will be able to continue running its business in the US and also work with the US based companies. The latest leak being Honor 9X, the device has been in the news since a few weeks.
The retail box of the smartphone has now shared online revealing some key details.
Honor 9X & Honor 9X Pro Leaked: Specs & Features
Honor 9X will probably come in a new design featuring a notchless display and a pop-up camera. The current generation Honor 8X features a massive display with a water drop shaped notch. For the successor, the company will be dropping off the notch.
There is going to be a Pro model as well, Honor 9X Pro with a similar design and a few better features. Honor 9X Pro will come with a quad camera setup (four rear cameras) like the newly launched Honor 20.
Honor 9X will feature the new HiSilicon Kirin 810 chipset. The smartphone was also previously rumoured to come with the new chip.
The leaked images of the Honor 9X retail box confirm that the upcoming devices will come with a gradient colour finishes on the out. Coming to the new chip, Honor 9X will run on the new 2.27GHz octa-core Kirin 810 chipset.
The new processor was recently launched & this mid-range processor debuted with Huawei Nova 5 last month.
The new chip is based on an 7nm architecture, Huawei’s second 7nm chipset after its flagship Kirin 980 SoC. The use of a 7nm chip in the mid-range category will help Honor to stay ahead in the competition in terms of overall performance.
The new Kirin 810 will offer higher performance output with a more refined experience. The better architecture will let the Honor 9X models come with superior power efficiency. The chip will couple with Mali-G52 MP6 GPU, expected to offer 162 per cent better performance compared to the predecessor chip Kirin 710.
Honor 9X & Honor 9X Pro India Launch: Price, Competitors
The upcoming Honor 9X smartphones will go directly against the new Realme X and Redmi K20 devices. The Kirin 810 chipset will compete against the Snapdragon 730 chip. Samsung Galaxy A80 and Xiaomi Redmi K20, currently use Snapdragon 730 chip.
Honor 9X in India may start at somewhere around Rs 17,000, while the Pro model, Honor 9X Pro will come at around Rs 22,000.
The 9X devices will launch first in China, and then in India, probably in the middle of the second half.
Honor 8X was launched in the country in October last year. So, the successor, Honor 9X will take some time. It will launch in the same time as last year, or maybe a few weeks earlier. The final date will be out in the meantime.
