Mi A3 Can Have Snapdragon 700 Series Processor; Will Mi A3 Lite Launch As Redmi 7 Pro In India?

The talks and speculations of Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite, the next generation flagships from Xiaomi’s Mi lineup are not mere rumors.

Some fresh, logical inputs have emerged, which tells us that Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite can be powered with Snapdragon 700 series processor, and will definitely have Android 9 Pie operating system.

We will soon share why we believe that this is a fact, and will share more leaks and information about Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite.

Mi A3, Mi A3 Lite Will Have Snapdragon 700 Series Processor

XDA Editor-in Chief, Mishaal Rahman, is known for leaking code-names and insider details about upcoming smartphones, and he has proven to be right in most of these cases.

In a recent tweet, Mishaal mentioned three code-names for upcoming Mi smartphones powered by Android, and these are: “bamboo_sprout”, “cosmos_sprout” and  “pyxis”.

Now, as per observations by tech specialists, “bamboo_sprout”, “cosmos_sprout” can be Mi A3, and Mi A3 Lite.

As per the tweet by Mishaal, all these three smartphones will be powered by SDM7XX series, which means Snapdragon 700 series.

“Pyxis” is expected to be a successor of Mi 6X.

Further, he reveals that these can be either Snapdragon 710 or Snapdragon 712 processors, but he admits that he is not sure.

He also mentions another new Xiaomi smartphone called ‘Hercules’, with Snapdragon 855 processor, which can be Redmi X, which is rumored to be the Poco F2 in India.

Mi A3, Mi A3 Lite Specs, Features: Rumors And Reality?

Earlier, speculations were high that Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite can have the Snapdragon 730 or Snapdragon 730G mobile processors, which now seems like a wild guess.

If we believe Mishaal’s tweet, then it becomes clear that Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite will have either Snapdragon 710 or Snapdragon 712.

Another logical reason why: Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite were powered with Snapdragon 660 and Snapdragon 625 processors, and hence, it seems reasonable to assume that the next version, that is Mi A3 and A3 Lite will have SD 710 or SD 712 processors.

Will Mi A3 Lite Launch As Redmi 7 Pro In India?

As per GizmoChina, MI A3 Lite can be rebranded as Redmi 7 Pro, and launch in some markets, which we are speculating to be India.

The logic is that Mi A2 Lite was rebranded as Redmi 6 Pro, and launched in some markets, including India. Hence, it becomes logical that Mi A3 Lite can be Redmi 7 Pro, which is launching this week in India.
