In case you are UPI for making payments on IRCTC website/app, then there is a 5% flat discount on all tickets. Maximum discount of Rs 50 can be availed, meanwhile, minimum of Rs 100 worth of ticket booking should be made.
Meanwhile Mobikwik, which is India’s 2nd biggest mobile wallet after Paytm, is also providing 10% discount on tickets. However, this discount is provided in the form of supercash, which is MobiKwik’s in-house currency. When passengers book their tickets on IRCTC website but pay via MobiKwik wallet, then this 10% supercash is credited to the user’s MobiKwik wallet.

RIP Reservation Charts?
As per latest reports coming in, Indian Railways is now all set to abolish the age-old practice of pasting reservation charts on train coaches.
We had reported on this new paperless initiative in the month of February.
Indian Railways will now use digital boards across all platforms to showcase the details, instead of pasting reservation charts.
The logic presented by Indian Railways is that majority of passengers have booked their tickets via IRCTC website/app (65%), hence they already have the details of their berths. Besides, passengers also receive the details on their mobiles via SMS.
We will keep you updated, as we receive more information.
