The state-owned BSNL has held its ground strongly and has been bringing new plans with additional benefits to woo customers.

BSNL Will Allow Access To International Wi-Fi Hotspots

Amidst all the competition and a doomed telecom market, BSNL is trying hard to make an impact in the Indian telecom space. The Jio effect is getting worse day by day, as almost all telecoms are forced to offer cheaper plans. Some are offering more benefits while others are filing for bankruptcy.

The state-owned BSNL has held its ground strongly and has been bringing new plans with additional benefits to woo customers. Shortly after the launch of its yearly 999 Maximum Prepaid Plan, the telecom company is now offering access to around 44 million Wi-Fi hotspots in around 100 countries around the world.

BSNL Allows Access To Wi-Fi Hotspots Around The World!

BSNL today announced that customers using a smartphone will be able to access around 44 million Wi-Fi hotspots in more than 100 countries around the world, which includes international flights and rail systems. It will be possible through the upgraded My BSNL app.

Typically, getting access to a WiFi hotspot is very troublesome, and internationally it’s even tougher to connect. But with the new WiFi+ service, BSNL has solved those woes. Users now just have to register just once with the closest participating Wi-Fi hotspot to get access to seamless connectivity.

The My BSNL App

BSNL now allows its users to access Wi-Fi hotspots all over the world through the latest version of the My BSNL application. The updated app is already available on both, Google Play Store and Apple App Store. So in case you are travelling abroad, you just need to download the application and recharge your number with the recently launched WiFi+ pack of Rs. 501/- from BSNL.

BSNL is the first Indian telecom operator to offer this facility to use WiFi data all over the world, to its customers. The access is available in over 100 countries as well as international flights and rail systems.

BSNL’s ‘WiFi+’ Plans

Last month BSNL had launched an all-new tariff plan of Rs  501/- and subsequently announced three other plans of Rs. 999/-, Rs. 1,599/- and Rs 1,999/- under its WiFi+ scheme. The BSNL WiFi+ pack of Rs. 501/- offers unlimited internet through Wi-Fi hotspots which are set up across the world, and it will be valid for 30 days.

The WiFi+ service is the international WiFi service from BSNL to help the customers who are travelling to other countries by offering free unlimited internet.

Users can check the Wi-Fi hotspot service availability in a country by visiting and can also check the list of countries where the service is available. BSNL has partnered with local Wi-Fi service providers in these countries to provide connectivity.
