How To Avail Jio SIM Under ‘Jio Preview Offer’?

To Get a Jio 4G SIM for free under the Jio Preview Offer all you have to do is install MyJio app from Google Play and click on ‘Avail Jio SIM’ in the banner. Then follow the on-screen instructions for generating the offer code.

Now take a printout of this offer code (a barcode) and visit your nearest Reliance Digital or DX Mini store along with photocopies and your original ID proof, address proof, plus 2 passport-sized photographs for getting a Jio SIM.

Post the activation of the SIM, open MyJio app using mobile data, install JioPlay, JioOnDemand, JioBeats and JioMoney to get unlimited data and calling benefits along with free access to Jio Premium apps for a period of 90 days.

Is Jio SIM Being Offered To Anyone With Any 4G Smartphone?

We had reports that Reliance Jio is now offering 4G SIM to anyone with a 4G smartphone. I visited a nearby DX Mini store and asked them about any such offering. Those guys confirmed that they too had heard about such offer but haven’t received any official announcement about the same.

Now that we know that Jio has opened the Preview Offer to even the Asus and Panasonic smartphone owners we are hopeful that the company will soon extend the offer to others as well.

Reliance Jio Network Is Facing Slowdown!

Yes, it sounds surprising but Jio 4G network has slowed significantly since the last week. We tested the same on JioFi and on a LYF phone and the max speed varied between 8-9 Mbps. If this is too slow for you then know that the speed varied between 3-4 Mbps yesterday on a signal strength of -95 dBm to -104 dBm.

This is way below our expectations and is close to 3G speeds. On the other hand, this also means that Jio 4G is not yet ready for commercial launch. It might take RJio another couple of weeks to ready their network for the future.

If you are using Jio 4G then do share your experience with us. Have you faced any network slowdown or service issues recently?

Over hyped preview offer. Speeds are more like 3G rather than 4g!

  2. Gaurav says

it’s getting slower day To day Very Poor customer grievance Response. I cheated by Jio in the Name of 4g. Speed is equivalent to 2G network.

  3. Hariram says

Now Jio Network connection is going slower day by day as the number of users increasing. The maximum capacity of Tower-transmission is being divided among the number of their network users. Today maximum download speed of 148 kbps only is received in Bhubaneswar.
