LeeCo Le 1S Registrations

LeEco, renamed from Letv, is one of the largest online platforms for content and applications and has some extensively researched and high-end products like televisions, smartphones and bikes etc.

LeEco has just entered the Indian market with its ‘Super’ phones Le 1S and Le Max. Le 1S, with some great specifications, is available on Flipkart for Rs 10,999 and aims to disrupt the smartphone market in the segment.

Le Max has been introduced in the country but isn’t yet available on any leading online store.

Within a month of the launch of the smartphones, panning two extreme segments, LeEco has announced the opening of 555 service centres across 300 towns in the country, majorly to cater to the growing need of the customers.

This also stems from the fact that LeEco created a massive roar before entering the market with its unique smartphones and gained a lot of followers within a few days.

The company has claimed that it received over 1 Lakh registrations within 24 hours on Flipkart, once the bookings opened. Till yesterday, total registrations for the phone crosses 3,00,000 mark. This is not something many manufacturers who haven’t yet entered India boast about.

At a press release Atul Jain, India CEO at LeEco in a press release talked about LeEco and it’s vision in the coming years, “At LeEco, it is our constant endeavour to provide our users with superior products and content integrated ecosystem which ensure that their user experience on all our devices is unified and exceptional. We are very excited about our launch in India and look forward to a long-term association with consumers in this market. We are confident to disrupt the market with our innovative products at sustainable prices.”

The extensive customer service in 300 towns will come with 24×7 toll free voice support in ten major languages in India, including English, Hindi, Gujarati, Malayalam and Tamil etc. This is really huge for a new entrant in the country because none of the global players also provide such a large laid out customer service network within a month of launch.

The most exciting things about the after sales service is the warranty. Users will get an opportunity to exchange their smartphone for a brand new one within a year of use in case of any faulty piece or any manufacturing defect.

For customers with Le Max smartphones, there will be home pick-up and delivery in case someone wants to claim the above warranty. This is unlike any other deal in India right now, considering the extent people can go to claim this offer. However, it will be interesting to see the terms and conditions and how it works out in the Indian smartphones scenario.
