OnePlus, ReGlobe Partner to Facilitate Exchange of your Old Phone for a New OnePlus Smartphone

OnePlus has announced the launch of an exciting new exchange offer. For the first time, OnePlus fans can now exchange their old phone for any of the OnePlus phones. This offer is as sweet as it gets, because OnePlus has joined hands with ReGlobe to buyback the old phones, which means you don’t have to worry about selling your old phones.

ReGlobe is a prominent name in the industry, who specialize in smartphone evaluation and end-of-life product management.

OnePlus phones were for now only available through invites from OnePlus, however through this offer, potential customers will be able to get the invite through the exchange itself. This goes without saying that ReGlobe will be evaluating the sale price of your old phone and this is non-negotiable. ReGlobe, also, has a limited number of brands and their products listed on its website, so if you don’t find your phone on their website, then you’re out of luck.

How does the exchange offer work?

At the moment, OnePlus is offering two types of exchange options. Either the customer can buy first and sell later or sell first and buy later, depending on their interest.

In the first scheme, the customer can request for the product first and get the invite from ReGlobe customer service and schedule the pick up for a later date. Once the customer buys the handset using the invite code, ReGlobe will initiate the buyback of the older phone. As cashback, an Amazon gift coupon matching the resale value of the old phone will be sent to the customer in 3-5 days.

A link to free insurance will also be sent to the customer if the resale value of the old phone amounts to greater than Rs 5,000. The OnePlus 2 would be getting the B2X Service and the OnePlus X will be getting the B2X On-Guard Plus add-on as part of this scheme.

In the second scheme, the customer can opt to sell the phone first to ReGlobe and get the buyback cash value. Once the confirmation is there from both the sides, the customer will receive an invite for the OnePlus smartphone of their choice along with an Amazon gift coupon matching the buyback amount.

Why is OnePlus giving free insurance?

If the buyback value of the phone is less than Rs 5,000, customers would still be able to buy any of the OnePlus smartphones through the scheme, without free insurance and transactions can be in cash or Amazon gift coupon. However, if the buyback amount is greater than Rs 5,000, then you will have the luck of getting free insurance.

OnePlus B2X and B2X On-Guard insurances for the two select devices can be quite useful considering the price of the scheme, which is only Rs 1,299 and Rs 999 respectively on Amazon. However, there is one caveat to this exchange; to avail the free insurance, customers will have to take the buyback amount in terms of Amazon gift card. If the customer is not interested in the free insurance, transaction can be done in cash as well.

Overall, the exchange offer is very interesting and sounds like a good deal for the customers. After all, who doesn’t want to sell their old phone to get a new one without all the hassles. The only thing that consumers need to look at is whether they get the right price for their old phones.
