Flipkart Starts Offering Scheduled Delivery & Installation Services To Buyers
It is nice to see Indian e-commerce platforms are getting increasingly customer-centric. After recently launching their subscription service, Flipkart First, they have now announced a new feature called “Scheduled Deliveries” that enables buyers to choose specific day and time for product deliveries. This is definitely a first for an Indian ecommerce company and is sure to help many Flipkart buyers who are generally not available at homes due to various time constraints.
Interestingly, customers can choose the delivery slots as early as next day and this service comes totally Free of cost.
Initially, this service will be available for large appliances only and will later be extended to other select categories as well.
Apart from scheduled deliveries, Flipkart also now offers installation services to their buyers. When it comes to large home appliances and electronic items like Television and Air Conditioning, installation is an important aspect that a buyer looks at. With installation services being offered by Flipkart, buyer will not have to worry about getting in touch with any third party!
Both these services are currently available in cities of Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata and will be extended to other cities soon.
With likes of Amazon growing exponentially in India, it is imperative for Indian ecommerce sites to innovate and come up with offerings that solve buyer problems. Flipkart’s recent launches like Flipkart First subscription service and expedited deliveries offerings are clear testament to that fact.
