Nokia X Priced At Rs. 8500, India Launch On March 15
The much talked about Nokia’s Android based phone Nokia X will be hitting Indian stores, at least that what it looks like. Nokia X has already been listed on the Mobile Store site as coming soon.
Though the listing currently does not give any indication of price or launch date, according to this report, it will be priced at Rs. 8500 and delivery of devices will start from March 15th. Looks like Nokia has asked the retailer to remove the price, as Nokia has not announced the Nokia X officially in India.

Nokia X series of phone got a lot of coverage after they were launched in Mobile World Congress last month as they were first smartphone from Nokia to be based on forked AOSP version of Android. Unlike normal Android phones, they do not carry Play store on them.

At the time of launch, Nokia had announced that Nokia X, X+ and XL will be priced at €89, €99 and €109 respectively. Nokia X has already been launched in Malaysia at 399 Ringgit (about Rs 7,500).
So, although the reports are still speculative, it is clear that the Nokia X will priced around Rs. 8500 in India. Although, Nokia X only has moderate specifications, it might definitely appeal to many first time smartphone buyers, especially with Nokia’s signature bright colors.
In addition to this, even though the phone does not have play store on it, already people have hacked into the phones so as to install play store on it. This opens up millions of Android apps on Nokia X series as well!
