BSNL Partners With Champion, Launches 2 Android Smartphones Starting Rs. 3299/-

Smartphones are no more pricey gadgets  they used to be few years back. There are now plethora of decent Android smartphones available at a price tag of Rs. 5000 or below. This is precisely the reason why smartphone growth has seen sudden acceleration in last 12 to 18 months.

Now, state owned BSNL has partnered with Champion computers to launch 2 Android smartphones that are ultra-cheap and targeted at the masses.

Named BSNL Champion My Phone SM3512 & SM3513, these smartphones are priced very competitively at Rs 3,225 and Rs 4,499 respectively.

While the price on both the Android phones is very cheap, they do come with some decent specifications and features which are sure to attract consumers, especially from tier 2 and tier 3 cities who are either looking for an upgrade from their feature phone or are going in for their first phones.

My Phone SM3513

BSNL Champion My Phone SM3512

The SM3512 has a Dual core 1 GHz processor that comes with Android Jelly Bean loaded on it. With 3.5 inch capacitive touch screen and 512 mb ram and a resolution of 1280X720 pixels, the phone should easily run all the essential tasks including browsing, playing games etc.

The dual SIM phone also sports front (1.3 MP) camera and rear (3 MP) camera. The 1300 mAh battery offers 6 hours of talk time and 350 hours of standby time. The SM3512 has a 8GB internal memory and can be expanded upto 32 GB with external microSD card.

In terms of connectivity options, the phone has WiFi, GPRS and bluetooth connectivity. However, this version lacks the 3G option.

The phone carries a 1 year manufacturers warranty.

BSNL Champion My Phone SM3513-3G

The SM3513 has exactly the same specifications as that of SM3513 with an addition of 3G GSM and WCDMA connectivity option. So, for people who are looking at more internet browsing and faster speeds, this one could prove to be a better option.

BSNL with its wide coverage in the interiors of country is more popular in tier 2 and 3 towns in India and with these partnerships, they are rightly targeting those consumers. In November of last year they had also forged similar partnership with Pantel Technologies to launch “Bharat Phones”, low cost smart phones and tablets.
