Watching IPL at Stadiums
If you are a resident of one of the 9 Indian cities which have IPL teams, there is no way you cannot watch atleast one match at the stadium. IPL matches are a 3 hour spectacle, and cricket just happens to be the core part of it.
So, the first thing you have to do is head over to Bookmyshow.com. They are the official Ticket sellers for IPL 2013. Around 60 percent of the ticket inventory has been allotted to them. You can choose the stands and seats for the matches from their website.
Alternatively, you can also call Bookmyshow’s call center number (022-39895050) and book the tickets.
Keep in mind that you can book your tickets upto 1 day prior to the match. The tickets booked via Bookmyshow can be delivered at your doorstep, or could be collected from the Stadium.
Watching IPL on Television
This is probably something everyone will be aware of, but for the sake of completeness of this article I am going to mention this.
Sony Max and Sony Six are the two Indian channels who have the sole rights to broadcast IPL matches live in India. While Sony Max will broadcast it in SD quality, Sony Six will broadcast it in High Definition. If you have an HD television and not subscribed to Sony Six, you must do it atleast for the duration of IPL.
