Apple Is Allegedly Working On New M3 Processors! Can Be Deployed On Mac Devices By 2022-End

At the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2022, the M2 powered MacBook Air and Pro devices were unveiled by Apple.

Apple’s First Ever Silicone Processor

The M2 chipset debuted as a successor to the M1 chipset is Apple’s first ever silicone processor. The next generation of the chipset which will be called the M3 chipset, will be most likely be announced next year is being worked upon by the Cupertino tech giant. 

To company is all set to unveil more chipsets from the M2 family this year, in the same fashion that it did with the M1 family.

M2 Max, M2 Pro, M2 Ultra and M2 Extreme chips are the most likely names of these chipsets. These chipsets will then be inserted into the devices, these are one of the most powerful setups across the globe.

The AR/MR headset as well which is said to draw power from the M2 chipset will be brought by the company, as per the company.

The Chipset

The rumoured M3 chipset shall be built by the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC). Most likely, 3nm shall be used by the company to develop it. 

Notably, 5nm was used to built the M1 and the M2 chipset, hence it is expected that the next generation of Apple’s silicone processor is expected to be more powerful than its predecessor.

Powered by the new M2 chipset, the MacBook Pro 13 inch has gone on sale. We can expect the tech giant to come up with a bunch of new MacBook devices this year and these devices will likely be powered by the chipsets from the M2 family.
